ICE – The Drug That Is Really Costing Us
I am the last person to get political but I need to say something about Australia’s current drug problem.
Why are our youth going for this drug which is killing so many?
I found out today that proportionally Australia is the biggest user of methamphetamines in the world…..this is simply a disgrace.
The Government is spending 600 MILLION DOLLARS to fix the problem. This is a self inflicted problem!
What about all the people who have diseases and illnesses that have been contracted naturally?
I have recently witnessed the impact of ICE on a young female in the emergency dept of the RAH. She was twisted up on the stretcher bed like a contortionist , with her muscles and limbs twitching and her eyes bulging out of her head. The ambos wheeling her in were completely disinterested in her condition ( as they appeared to be conditioned to it), even though she was screaming. It was confronting and shocking.
Let’s hope all our kids resist the temptations and play safe.
