The Apple Experience

The main aim of Apple employees is to enrich lives.
When you enrich the lives of customers they will reward you with their business.
Staff are not focused on selling stuff they are building relationships and trying to make people’s lives better.
If your employees are not trained, personable or passionate about the brand you will have no chance of building a company that delivers an APPLE quality experience.
Up to 70% of employees are not engaged, disillusioned and uninspired.
They simply don’t care about their job. Staff need to work towards a higher purpose and feel good about themselves.
You must have a vision.
Try and connect ideas from different fields/industry.
Create a simple vision eg “we care what you wear”.
Steve Jobs was fanatical about the customer experience.
You need to be more friendly with customers at every touch point.
Customers must be greeted within ten seconds
Ask meaningful questions” what would the Four Seasons of retail look like?”
A vision is not a mission statement. A mission statement is about us, a vision is about “them”.

Sydney Street- We care what you wear

Apple hires for personality not technical knowledge. Teachers are good choices.
Apple hires for attitude not aptitude.
It’s important to be friendly all the time and have a smile on your face all the time.
Hire for attitude and train for skills.
Apple doesn’t want to know how much you know, but moreso how much you care.
The whole goal is to create a relationship
Ask job candidates “are they nice”? And ” what are you passionate about?”
