The Masters Apprentices – Plenty of Connection
This article has been saved since the late 80’s and is a treasured piece of memorabilia. I am a big fan of the Apprentices as they were an Adelaide Band that has produced 5 successful albums through the 60’s and a friend of mine Meg Tilbrook, is the daughter of band member Peter Tilbrook. I also have another connection in that on my 40th birthday party my parents sneakily arranged for original bass player, Gavin Webb to attend my Western party at the Charleston Hotel and had him jam with my band The Timbersnakes. He slotted in really easily as expected and it was a thrill for me to have him play. He is a man of very few words, but he let his bass playing do the talking. A great night was had by all.
